Cleveland Water presented its portion of the City of Cleveland's 2020 estimated budget. As reflected in the budget request, we continue to make safe, affordable drinking water a priority.

Cleveland Water has awarded over $7 million to 10 suburban service communities for 12 water main replacement projects. These awards are part of our Suburban Water Main Replacement Program and our $25 million annual investment in buried infrastructure.

The health and safety of our customers and community are of utmost importance to us. We’re taking part in the United Way’s Lead Safe Home Summit to provide important information on the ways we’re working to reduce lead in our system and how our customers can identify lead in home plumbing.

Environmental laws and regulations, spurred in large part by the Cuyahoga River fire in 1969, have dramatically improved the quality of our nation’s waterways. But as these legacy issues are addressed, new environmental challenges have evolved. We're addressing these issues head-on.

Like the city itself, the development of Cleveland Water has been defined by Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River. From the beginning, our goal has always been to deliver the best quality drinking water possible to our customers.
