2018 Water Quality Report Now Available
Each year Cleveland Water issues a Water Quality Report for our customers. This annual report, also called a Consumer Confidence Report, provides a review of our water quality during the past year, including testing results and information.
In 2018, as in previous years, our customers can be confident in knowing their drinking water is safe.
The 2018 Water Quality Report can be viewed and downloaded here. New features in this year’s report include dedicated sections for of each of our four water treatment plants and an expanded lead information section.
We know safe, reliable drinking water is essential to the quality of life for the more than 1.5 million people in the 80 communities we serve. That’s why we’re committed to providing our customers with the highest quality drinking water.
Cleveland Water met or surpassed all drinking water standards in 2018, yet we hold ourselves to a higher standard. We participate in the Partnership for Safe Water, a voluntary program to maintain higher water quality standards than those required by state and federal regulations.
We’re also committed to educating our customers about their drinking water, both its source and our treatment processes and practices.
Cleveland Water uses a multiple barrier treatment process and the latest monitoring equipment and technology to ensure our customers receive safe and great-tasting water.
We continuously monitor more than 20,000 parameters in the water treatment process, collect more than 350 samples each month from throughout our distribution system, and perform over 160,000 tests each year to ensure the drinking water leaving our treatment plants remains safe all the way to our customers.
And we’re always working to improve our treatment process, whether it’s innovative water quality monitoring efforts or investing in improvements for our plants. We do this to ensure that, regardless of any issues we may encounter, our customers can be confident in knowing their drinking water is safe.
