Cleveland Water has completed the repairs on the 16-inch water main on Brecksville Road. The crews are in the process of restoring water service to the residents of Richfield Village and Richfield Township.
Once the service is restored, residents should know that the water is safe to use. There is no boil alert. There may be some pockets of discoloration in the system and residents should check to make sure the water coming into their homes is clear. A good way to do this is to check at the first faucet in your house, like a basement slop sink. If the water is discolored, you should run the cold water on high for a few minutes until it is clear.
Residents may also experience pockets of air in their water lines. To help alleviate this, we will have crews in the area flushing hydrants to remove the air in the system.
If residents continue to have water issues or if they have any questions or concerns, they should call our water emergency line at 216-664-3060.
